Where is Golgotha?

In the scriptures Jesus was crucified at a place called ‘Golgotha’ which means ‘the place of the skull’. The modern place is named ‘Skull Hill’. The skull of the human body is the skeleton which protects the brain. The brain as believed by a lot of philosophers and psychologist is the seat of the mind. This is where a person’s ideas, beliefs and thoughts are housed. A hill is a place which arises above its surroundings. Some of our ideas and thoughts may sometimes rise itself above the idea of God and be very hostile to God, hence Christ must be crucified there.

“For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ…”
(2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

Our weapon is the cross of Jesus Christ which God used to sacrifice everything which does not allow God to take control. For this reason Paul said “For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.” (1 Corinthians 2:2)

Allow Christ to be crucified on your Golgotha today.
